The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) introduced the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (‘ECMS’/ ‘Scheme’) with a budgeted outlay of ₹22,919 crores to provide financial incentives on domestic production of notified electronic components.
The Scheme is available to investments made for manufacturing products under the following Target Segments, categorised as category A, B, C and D:
A. Sub-assemblies
B. Bare components
C. Selected bare components
D. Supply chain ecosystem and capital equipment
Pursuant to the said Notification, MEITY has now issued detailed guidelines for effective operation and smooth implementation of the Scheme.
